From Capital QB’s to Champion — Full Circle
Justin’s journey is one that resonates deeply within the Capital QB’s program. He first trained with Coach Ron Raymond back in 2013, developing his foundation as a young quarterback with big aspirations. After three seasons at Carleton University, he continued his development at Saint Mary’s, where preparation met opportunity—and championships followed.
Now, he returns not just as a player, but as a mentor and coach, bringing real-world championship experience back to the next generation.
Coach Justin Shibley at Capital QB’s
Beyond his playing career, Justin is also a quarterback trainer at Capital QB’s and the founder of Sumit Strength, a platform focused on position-specific athletic development and movement efficiency. Over the years, he has studied, tested, and applied advanced quarterback training principles aimed at improving mechanics, decision-making, and confidence under pressure.
At the 2026 Commanders Camp, Coach Shibley will work closely with quarterbacks on:
- Footwork and throwing mechanics
- Movement efficiency and pocket control
- Timing and rhythm concepts
- Film awareness and game preparation
- The mental side of quarterback play at the championship level
His approach blends technical detail with practical game experience—something young quarterbacks rarely get access to.
A Championship Mindset for the Next Generation
Justin Shibley represents exactly what the Commanders Camp is about: development, leadership, and belief in the Canadian football pathway. His return reinforces the message that U SPORTS football is not only a viable path—but a powerful one.
The 3rd Annual Commanders QB & REC Camp continues to grow each year, and having a reigning Loney Bowl Champion quarterback on staff ensures campers are learning from those who have truly lived the position.
