Program Overview

Capital QB’s is excited to launch our 2025 Spring/Summer Junior & Senior Quarterback Training Program, running from April 22nd to June 24th. This program provides specialized training focused on movement, agility, and mechanics for Juniors, and advanced techniques and decision-making for Seniors. Our structured sessions ensure quarterbacks at every level develop the skills needed to excel.

Meet Coach Justin Shibley

Coach Justin Shibley is the newest addition to the Capital QB’s team, bringing a wealth of knowledge and dedication to our program. Currently playing quarterback for the Carleton Ravens, Justin has developed an in-depth understanding of the position through years of high-level competition.

In addition to his on-field expertise, he is the owner of Sumit Strength, a training platform specializing in position-specific exercises for athletes. Over the past three years, Justin has researched and implemented cutting-edge techniques to help athletes improve their performance and excel at their craft.

Justin’s journey with Capital QB’s is a special one, as he began training with Coach Ron Raymond back in 2013 as a young quarterback. Now, as a coach, he’s excited to give back to the QB community by helping the next generation of players reach their full potential.

This Spring and Summer, Coach Shibley will be leading on-field quarterback training sessions, focusing on fundamentals, advanced techniques, and the mental aspects of the game. His dedication to fostering growth and development in young athletes makes him a perfect fit for the Capital QB’s team.

Training Focus Areas

Junior Quarterbacks (Ages 9-13)

  • QB Movement – Footwork drills to enhance mobility, balance, and pocket presence
  • Agility Drills – Improving quickness, reaction time, and body control
  • Handoff Mechanics – Proper technique for executing clean and efficient handoffs
  • Throwing Mechanics – Developing accuracy, velocity, and different types of passes

Senior Quarterbacks (Ages 14-19)

  • Advanced Throwing Techniques – Enhancing mechanics for increased accuracy and power
  • Pocket Presence & Mobility – Navigating pressure and improving escapability
  • Reading Defenses – Understanding coverages and making quick decisions
  • Leadership & Communication – Developing command of the huddle and play execution
  • QB Movement – Footwork drills to enhance mobility, balance, and pocket presence
  • Agility Drills – Improving quickness, reaction time, and body control
  • Handoff Mechanics – Proper technique for executing clean and efficient handoffs
  • Throwing Mechanics – Developing accuracy, velocity, and different types of passes

Every player who signs up for a training session, will be fitted with a Dri Fit Shorts and Shirt.

Please Note: Capital QB’s has an “All Sales Are Final Policy,” and once a customer agrees to a training package of their choice, the sale is considered final. If you’re paying by credit card, your credit card statement will show up as “ATS STATS,” which is one of our affiliated companies.
Juniors: Thursdays from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM
Seniors: Thursdays from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM
