What You’ll Learn as a Receiver
- Explosive releases off the line to beat press coverage and get into your route faster
- Route running precision to create separation from defenders at all levels of the field
- Hand placement & catching technique for consistent grabs in all traffic situations
- Body control to adjust to the football in the air, on the run, or through contact
- Game-speed timing with live quarterbacks to prepare for real in-game rhythm
- Reading defensive leverage so you can adjust your routes on the fly
- Breaking at the top of routes with sharp, explosive cuts for maximum separation
- High-point catching to win contested balls in the air
- Yards-after-catch skills — securing the ball and making explosive moves after the grab
- Sideline awareness & toe-drag technique to keep catches inbounds
- Ball tracking on deep passes so you never lose sight of the football
- Creating space in traffic with body positioning and shield techniques
- Catching under pressure and absorbing contact while securing the ball
Session Format
- Joint Warm-Up – Dynamic football-specific warm-up with QBs to get in sync.
- Receiver-Only Breakout – Work with Coach Geoff on WR fundamentals, advanced route techniques, and catching drills.
- Hook-Up Period – Run full routes with Capital QB’s quarterbacks, building real game chemistry and timing.
